Kiana Khazchin

Kiana Khazchin was born in 2002 in Mashhad, Iran, and currently lives and works in Tehran. She started her journey as a multidisciplinary artist in 2016, while her works mostly focus on paintings and drawings. In her works, she explores the intersection of art and everyday life, endeavoring to merge these two.

She started her art studies by obtaining a graphic design diploma in 2020 from Manzoumeh Kherad Institute and continued her academic studies receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Painting at Tehran University of Art. Along with her studies, she continued her work on visual arts under the mentorship of great artists like Daryoush Hosseini, Massoumeh Mozaffari, Elmira Mirmiran and Mohammadhossein Emad.

Throughout her practice, Kiana drew upon a wide range of topics, from remembrance and love and sexuality to the marvels of every day life and the potential of the human body and its relations with others. She aims for the viewers to resonate with her work, hoping that they reflect on their own life situations and their relationship with their surroundings. It is through her work that she tries to bridge the disparities of the mundane and the extraordinary in saluting the moments of beauty in ordinary life.
